When searching Wyldcat for children's books you can use the Advanced Search option and

under Item types mark "Books - childrens".

You can also search by using X and juvenile. (X being your topic)

ex: divorce and juvenile

Award winning books can be found on NoveList under the MORE tab.

The library also has books in the reference area that list award winners such as

Newbery and Caldecott.
